I’m not sure if you’ve heard of Adventure elopement weddings but they’re gaining popularity. They are a beautiful way to start your marriage off on the right foot. I have been photographing elopements for over 12 years now and it’s always an honour to be there as this couple starts their journey together by themselves without any family or friends around. It is also becoming popular with people who travel that want a more secluded location than what is offered in the regular wedding venues.
It’s not every day you see a bride in a white dress driving an ATV for their wedding, but, for this bride and groom, it was the perfect way to start their marriage together! These two wanted to do something “just them” for their elopement. They spend a lot of their spare time exploring the back roads on their ATV. They mentioned they wanted to do this for their elopement. We knew this would make photo gold!
Intimate elopement ceremony by the river surrounded by mountains
Intimate elopement ceremonies are a way of celebrating love through a simple and elegant ceremony in an environment that you find romantic and beautiful.
These two chose to have their wedding at the river, surrounded by mountains. The great thing about elopements is that you can design your own ceremony and not worry about guests. This means you get to do what you want without having to stick to a traditional ceremony format or specific wedding rituals that are traditionally associated with weddings.
This couple originally had a small, traditional wedding planned. But after seeing our adventure elopement photos of them they decided to do something that they would find more fun.
Some fun wedding portrait photos driving around with their ATV
After their intimate wedding ceremony the two of them drove around in a newly purchased ATV, they then went onto the rocky flats of the Fraser River where they had loads of fun doing burnouts.
This is a great example of how you can use an ATV to make some interesting wedding photos. In this case, the couple drove off-road and took photos at different locations. They also used the ATV as a photo prop, which looks awesome!
They enjoyed a fire as the evening set. They shared stories and laughed until their stomachs hurt while they roasted marshmallows over an open flame.
This is just one example of how you can bring in your own ideas to make really cool wedding pictures.
Create your own unique dream elopement
For some people, elopements are the perfect way to have a wedding without all of the stress. They enjoy having more freedom and less pressure on their big day while still being able to celebrate with family and friends afterwards. This couple grabbed an ATV for theirs! What would you do?
