Destination weddings are perfect if you want your wedding to feel like a shared trip with your favourite people, not just a single day. Instead of everyone going home after dinner, you are all exploring a new place together, from beaches and markets to mountain viewpoints and old towns. Our destination wedding photography is built around that idea: real moments, epic light, and a strong sense of place, whether you are in Mexico, another part of Canada, or a bucket list spot across the world.

We are based in Vancouver but regularly travel for destination weddings and multi day celebrations, including Mexico, Yellowknife, and destination style weddings where couples bring their guests to Vancouver, Whistler, or British Columbia from across Canada and overseas. What a destination wedding can look like

• All inclusive resort weddings in places like Puerto Vallarta, Riviera Nayarit, or other coastal destinations, where everyone stays on site and you can mix pool days, excursions, and the wedding itself.
• Villa or boutique hotel weddings, where you rent a smaller property in a town like Sayulita or another coastal or historic town and build a multi day celebration around that space.
• Destination style city weddings, where you invite guests to Vancouver, Whistler, or another BC location and treat it like a mini destination with welcome dinners, activities, and a main wedding day.
• Adventure focused destination weddings that combine our adventure elopements and photo shoots style with travel, such as boat access locations, heli drops, or remote lodges.

How we photograph destination weddings

As destination wedding photographers, we approach your wedding as a full story, not just the ceremony and reception. We arrive ready to document the welcome party, pool or beach hangs, pre or post wedding adventures, and all the small moments that happen when you are together for several days. Our mix of photojournalism and bold, dramatic portraits means you get both the candid memories and the location driven hero images that show off why you chose that destination.

Shooting in new locations and different climates is where our experience with light really matters. From harsh midday sun at a Mexican resort to moody skies in Northern Canada or mixed lighting inside historic hotels, we use off camera lighting and careful timing to make sure you look great and the location still feels authentic. If you are planning something like our Sayulita wedding at Villa Amor or Grand Palladium destination wedding, that might mean early morning beach sessions, sunset town walks, and night portraits under string lights or stars.
