Jenny and Josh’s Whistler Wedding: A Picture-Perfect Celebration

We are thrilled to showcase Jenny and Josh’s stunning Whistler wedding, which took place at the Roundhouse Lodge and Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Center. As avid skiers who love Whistler, we were overjoyed when they shared their plans for a “Whistler wedding” with us. Jenny, an EMT, and Josh, an RCMP officer in Vancouver, met while on duty at a burning house. Despite the chaotic situation, Josh was captivated by Jenny and asked her out on a coffee date the next day. Their love story began, and it led to a beautiful wedding day.

Preparations and First Look

The couple prepared for their special day at the Chateau Fairmont Whistler, with breathtaking mountain views from their rooms. Josh was filled with excitement and anticipation as he awaited the first look with Jenny. When the moment arrived, tears of joy flowed as he laid eyes on his radiant bride. The couple then ventured to Rainbow Park in Whistler for picturesque photos against the backdrop of the majestic mountains.

A Mountain-View Ceremony

The outdoor ceremony at the Roundhouse Lodge was graced with a stunning mountain view. The weather played its part, transitioning from beautiful and sunny to a mini snowstorm and back again, creating a truly memorable experience. The ceremony was adorned with exquisite floral arrangements by Celsia Floral, with a spectacular floral awning as the focal point.

Cocktail Hour and Reception

Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed live music by Colin Bullock during the cocktail hour, while more portraits were captured against the breathtaking mountain scenery. The reception at Squamish Cultural Center was held in a remarkable round room with wood ceilings and wrap-around windows, making it the perfect Whistler wedding venue. The evening was filled with delightful treats, including a cotton candy bar by Petit Puf, which was a hit with guests and children alike.

Entertainment and Festivities

The festivities continued with a photobooth by Photo Shack, drawing long lines of enthusiastic participants. Josh donned the iconic red serge for their first dance, showcasing the skills they had honed through multiple dancing lessons. The evening was brought to life by Soulstream Band’s live music, keeping everyone on their feet.

A Memorable Celebration

Jenny and Josh’s rustic and luxurious Whistler wedding was an unforgettable celebration, and we are grateful to have been part of their special day.
