Quality Photography Experience That Is Different.

When we met with Sacha and Rez, they knew exactly what they wanted, a west coast boho wedding at Brock House with moss, flowers, candles, big balloons, with an outdoor ceremony overlooking the ocean. On the day of, it turned out to be a beautiful representation of everything that BC has to offer with nature. Sacha is a flight attendant from Vancouver, Rez is a engineer from San Francisco, and the two met in Honolulu at a black jack table. They fell in love and Sacha made the big move to the States. They got married in Vegas in the company of some of their best friends. However, that didn’t go over too well with their family, so Sacha and Rez started planning their second wedding to be in Sacha’s hometown of Vancouver! The cool thing about this wedding is that Sacha had a lot of great friends who were involved in the wedding day. While Rez was getting a clean shave at The Belmont Barbershop, Sacha was getting ready at the Victorian Hotel in downtown Vancouver, where she used to work before she became a flight attendant. She became great friends with the owners of the old hotel and they were also guests at their wedding. Denise Elliot Hair and Makeup was responsible for her beautiful makeup and her gorgeous boho hairstyle was done by her friend Malissa Jeffers from Is.Salon in Yaletown. Malissa actually stayed around for the entire portrait session making sure the bride and her girls looked their best in all the photos. Sacha saw photos of a swing at Jericho Beach, and loved the idea of using that area for photos. She was right! The swing and willow tree really went along with the boho theme, and was the perfect spot for the couple. We got her up on the swing, she took off her shoes and it made for some absolutely gorgeous wedding photos. Their entire wedding was at Brock House. They had a short and sweet ceremony, which was set up right under a massive tree overlooking the north shore mountains. Their officiant was a friend that Sacha used to go to school with. Her friend Pamela Nisbet used to be a wedding planner, but she came out of retirement for the day to help out a good friend and got all of the decor looking picture perfect. The center pieces were gorgeous with little tea cups, roses incased in glass, moss and candle light, and they brought in a black jack table to bring in a little history of how they met. Rez is from Albania, so right after their first dance the guests all participated in a traditional Albanian dance. It was a gorgeous second wedding for this couple and we had a blast photographing them. I love west coast inspired weddings and combined with a boho theme, it was absolutely beautiful. Thank you Sacha and Rez for choosing us to photograph your wedding! – Lauren *Click images to see high resolution.
