One of my favourite moments was seeing the couple’s reaction during their first look—their joy was infectious, setting the tone for a day filled with love and celebration. The afternoon ceremony took place outdoors, where the couple exchanged vows against the lakeside ceremony location under a beautiful archway overlooking Harrison Lake and mountain vistas. The private beachfront setting created an intimate atmosphere for their gathered loved ones to witness their union. As the sun cast its warm glow across the water, traditional Persian elements like the Sugar Veil blessing ceremony and the honey exchange were beautifully integrated into the ceremony, creating a perfect fusion of cultures.
Outdoor Evening Festivities
The reception flowed into the covered outdoor space for dinner, heartfelt speeches, and cozy moments by the firepit that added warmth and ambiance. A highlight was the Persian tradition, Raghseh Chagoo, where friends danced with the cake knife as the couple outbid them for it. After dessert, the couple shared their first dance, followed by father-daughter and mother-son dances. Glow sticks added a fun twist, lighting up the dancefloor and getting everyone involved. Guests moved seamlessly between the cozy indoor spaces and the starlit waterfront, creating an unforgettable evening.
