For Amanda and Kyle's wedding, we photographed both the ceremony and reception at the Vancouver Golf Club in Coquitlam BC. The Vancouver venue had wooden accents, a giant fireplace and big windows looking out at the golf green. The ceremony was beautiful and filled with high emotions allowing us to capture amazing candid moments throughout the day. We photographed most of the morning in black and white to help enhance the mood of the photos. After the ceremony, we took off for an intimate portrait session with just Amanda and Kyle, since they didn't have a wedding party. We visited Burnaby Lake, which had a ton of locations to shoot at including railroad tracks, lots of trees and a long dock full of birds. We then headed back to the reception, where the couple wanted to take few photos of Kyle's remodelled vintage car. When the reception started, I noticed something that I've never seen in a reception before, two pinball machines. We found out that Kyle is somewhat of a pinball master competing world-wide in pinball championships, so I guess it only made sense that it would be a part of his wedding. People were battling it out all during the reception at the pinball machines, others were dancing in the reception, and some just showed up in their Star Trek uniform complete with a phaser.
