The Vancouver Club wedding was the perfect mix of heritage architecture, stylish details, and a relaxed downtown Vancouver experience, all in one iconic venue. Their entire day stayed on site, which meant more time with guests and a seamless flow from morning to night.
Getting ready in the Georgian Room
She chose to get ready in the Georgian Room at The Vancouver Club, surrounded by classic paneling, big windows, and elegant details that fit her style perfectly. The room felt like a private retreat in the middle of downtown Vancouver, which gave us space to photograph her makeup, dress, and quiet moments with her wedding party in a documentary way.
We leaned into the natural light and heritage finishes to create clean, simple portraits that feel very true to the space and to her personality. It kept the getting ready portion of the day relaxed and stylish while still feeling very personal to them.
Ceremony in the lobby
Their ceremony took place in the Vancouver Club lobby, which was transformed into an intimate ceremony space with rows of chairs, candles, and florals. Guests were surrounded by the building’s historic architecture and warm lighting, which made everything feel really welcoming as they watched the two of them say their vows.
Having the ceremony in the lobby meant guests experienced the heritage character of the venue from the moment they arrived, from the grand entrance to the classic interior details. The space felt luxurious and intimate at the same time, which created a powerful backdrop for the ceremony.

For portraits, we moved around The Vancouver Club and used different parts of the building to tell their story. Hallways, staircases, and the ballroom all became great spots for portraits that mixed the architecture with real, candid moments between the two of them.
By using creative lighting and the existing lines and textures of the building, we turned classic spaces into bold, dramatic portraits that still feel very much like downtown Vancouver. The benefit of a venue like this is that we can create a lot of variety without leaving the property, which keeps the day relaxed for the couple.
Reception in the ballroom
Their reception was held in the Vancouver Club ballroom, a room known for its wood paneling, chandeliers, and elegant, warm atmosphere. It is the perfect setting for emotional speeches, first dances, and a packed dance floor once the party really kicks in.
As the night went on, the ballroom shifted from formal dinner to energetic dance floor, with everyone up and celebrating. It is a space that photographs beautifully from start to finish, especially with our focus on lighting and real moments.
