If you love unique wedding venues, then you’ll enjoy this Vancouver Art Gallery wedding!
I+J had a grand Vancouver Art Gallery wedding in Downtown Vancouver this summer. It was an awesome event with flowers as the main decor and an epic city backdrop of the law courts.
Outdoor city wedding ceremony downtown Vancouver
The ceremony took place outdoors on the covered deck overlooking downtown Vancouver. It was perfect setting for an urban wedding because the view was so amazing. The event started with a beautiful reading, and finished with them walking down the aisle being showered with colourful confetti.
Unique luxury style portrait wedding photo locations
After the ceremony, we wandered around the venue doing wedding photos indoors in the rotunda room. Then we used the stairs out front, which was a great idea by the couple. I got some beautiful portrait photos around the city with some great reactions and unique lighting. The weather was calling for rain, but it held off, and gave us great cloud coverage (which is awesome for heat and photography).
Outdoor city style reception
I+J chose to have their wedding at Vancouver Art Gallery because of the great city views, and it’s so cozy and relaxed. This is a unique wedding venue, and it’s got such a grand feel to it, especially the rotunda.
Vancouver Art Gallery Wedding Reception
For the reception, the couple had planned live music featuring a harp and violin for their guests, and everyone really enjoyed it. Everyone was then called in for dinner, which was four courses. It was absolutely delicious. They had speeches during the dinner, which were really touching. After the reception, everyone mingled, and enjoyed cocktails. The couple did not have any dancing as they preferred to socialize with their friends and family.
I loved this intimate city wedding so much. If you’re getting married and looking for a Vancouver Art Gallery wedding photographer, get in touch.
