I have to start off by saying that Angelica + Bryan's St. Augustine’s Church and Vancouver Club wedding is going down as one we’ll remember forever. I remember when we originally met with Angelica and Bryan, their energy and constant laughing and giggling were contagious, we instantly liked them. Then once we heard their plan for their wedding, we got really excited by the amount of action was going to be involved. On the wedding day, we started off at the Sutton Place Hotel photographing the two of them getting ready. Angelica was getting her hair and makeup done by The Love Team by Coa, while Bryan was hanging out in the hotel room with his groomsmen having a few laughs and waiting anxiously for the first look. They had their first look at the hotel, and Bryan couldn’t stop staring at her. We took the couple around the hotel to get some photos, and just as Will was getting one last photo in the hotel restaurant, Aaron Paul from Breaking Bad, jumped up from having his lunch and congratulated the couple and posed for a photo! I almost died, Bryan was starstruck, and Will didn’t even realize until he finished taking photos who it was! After that amazing encounter, we took off to get some portraits at the lighthouse in Stanley park, which is one of their favourite spots, and finished in the forest off a pathway with one of the most massive trees we've seen, surrounded by lots of ferns. Their wedding ceremony at St. Augustine’s church is a big, beautiful church in Vancouver. Bryan shed some tears the moment Angelica started walking down the aisle. After the ceremony, we took some more photos in the church, then headed downtown to get some photos around the city and Marine Building. Their reception at The Vancouver Club had a Disney theme, with centrepieces with the single rose in the vase, and table numbers with quotes from Disney movies. It was decorated beautifully by Angelica’s friend/day of coordinator, Marion Buan, all flower arrangements by Josie Salvella, wedding cake by Cakes n Sweets Bakery, and Crispy Kreme party favours. The night was action packed with non-stop entertainment. Angelica and her friends performed a Polynesian dance, Mike Oulten from ACDJ Vancouver was the MC and got the crowd going wild by picking guests to do a blind folded dance off, then there was a traditional money dance and after that, the dance party got crazy! One of Bryan’s best friends couldn’t make it to the wedding because he was a firefighter for the BC forest fires, so they created a cutout of him to fill his spot. Everywhere I looked, it seemed that cutout was either hanging out in the hallway, leaning against the wall having drinks with friends, creeping through a window, or on the dance floor partying it up with guests! It was such an awesome wedding, and we enjoyed every second of it. Thank you Angelica and Bryan for trusting us to document such an important day! - Lauren
