I recently got talking with a seasoned professional photographer at one of our recent weddings. She felt weddings were all the same and boring. I didn't really feel that way and was trying to think of the reason. I think its because being based out of such a vibrant city like Vancouver we get to meet such a huge range of people, traditions and places. While we have photographed a boat load of different types of traditions, including East Indian ones, this was our first Sikh wedding. The couple dress up like royalty, ride horses, get money thrown at them, have someone feed them and are just overall blinged out. Did I mention the groom gets to have a sword? I want to get married with a sword. This wedding took place over 2 days, here are some of my favourite photos.
