This is our first rustic country wedding of 2012, and what a wedding it was! Chelsea and Tyler had their wedding on a private little rustic farm out in Abbotsford, BC. The property was gorgeous and full of little details everywhere you looked. In fact, I don't think we have ever come across a wedding that had quite as many attention to details as this country wedding. The guys arrived on time and the girls were a little late, so we took advantage and did the kind of portrait every guy wants with his best friends. They took tools from a shed and got a sweet group photo and individual portraits. It's always funny to see what a guy's weapon of choice will be. When the girls arrived, I went in the old style country house to get some photos of the Chelsea getting her beautiful wedding dress on. The house was tiny, and Chelsea's dress seemed to fill every square inch of it! The couple opted for an intimate first look. You could really feel how much in love they were when they first saw each other. After some group photos we took soon-to-be bride and groom on their own for an intimate portrait session around the farm, hitting up the barn, trees, a tree swing, fields and everything else you could imagine on a farm. We seem to be very lucky to have the opportunity to get quite a few barn weddings. They are awesome! Chelsea and Tyler were married in a very beautiful barn with chandeliers and little details scattered throughout. The ceremony had a very fairy-tale feel to it. That feeling carried on into the reception with all of the rustic country details as every center piece, woven balls hanging from the ceiling and every handmade sign and lots of DIY details everywhere you would look. We finished off the night with a few last portraits once they had some time to relax a bit. It was an amazing rustic country wedding to photograph, and we wish Chelsea and Tyler all the best in their new life together.
As I know from one of my previous posts including a barn wedding venue, I will probably get lots of requests for an address of the property from Vancouver area couples. Unfortunately the owners have asked to keep the location private for now. Sorry! But don't be shy to contact me about getting some amazing wedding photography 😉
