COVID Weddings
As we all know, due to COVID there have been restrictions put in place for having large weddings, and couples all over are postponing with the hope that large events will open up again in the near future. We hope for that as well, but in these unprecedented times, we also want to let couples know that love doesn’t necessarily have to wait!Small Weddings and Elopements
Gatherings of 50 people and under may be the new normal for weddings for the foreseeable future, and elopements are beginning to become more and more popular! The beauty of an elopement is that you can go anywhere! You can go to a park, a forest, a mountaintop, a backyard, even your living room! The options are endless because it’s a small gathering of people, and also you can be flexible on your date because you’re not necessarily relying on booking a specific venue! That is exactly what our couple here did.ÂMountain Elopement
These high school sweethearts had an elopement at Alouette Lake at Golden Ears Park. They both come from different cultures and the wedding planning was stressing them out. The most important thing was to be married to each other. They scaled it right back, invited their immediate family, and had a non-religious elopement surrounded by mountains. Photography was really important to them, so they worked with us on an elopement date that worked for all of us, and they also got a really beautiful wedding album printed of their day! It was a simple and beautiful ceremony, where nature was their decor, and the rest of the time was spent wandering around the park taking photos of the two of them.Even though COVID is making our world a little bit of a different place, it doesn’t mean that weddings and love have to stop. Small weddings and elopements are pretty magical and also flexible. If you don’t want to wait, and you are planning an elopement or a small wedding in the near future, we would love to chat!
