We really enjoyed working with C+R on their Iona Beach Engagement session in Richmond this summer! We are photographing their wedding in 2016, and they wanted to get some more casual engagement photos at Vancouver airport with planes, and Iona Beach for some sunset photos. Capturing planes in engagement photos was a first for us. So we wanted to take them to a place just outside of YVR that has amazing low flying planes that will go right over your head. I've never actually stood under a low flying plane before this shoot, but it's actually a pretty wild experience (well...at least for me)! Iona Beach has some really nice views, a rugged, untamed beach and the jetty that goes 4km out into the ocean. I recommend actually walking out there one day, because it offers you some great views facing towards Vancouver. We lucked out and managed to get one of the most colourful sunsets that we've seen for awhile. It was like the sky was on fire! C+R were naturals in front of the camera, and we got some really amazing moments captured. It was such a fun experience working with these two and with the mixture of great weather, planes and epic sunsets, we couldn't have asked for a better session.
