#loveisnotcancelled is a motto we have stood by since the pandemic began. We have to say that we are loving our couple’s creative vision on a scaled-down wedding. These two had a downtown Vancouver wedding and their vision for it was beyond stunning.Â
Last-minute changes
They originally planned for an intimate backyard wedding with a couple of family members. As the date became closer, restrictions required them to find a venue instead. Since their wedding was early spring, they wanted a nice venue to host their ceremony and reception.Â
Parc Vancouver wedding
The bride got ready in a gorgeous two-story room at the Parc hotel Vancouver (https://www.parqvancouver.com/). Later on, they hosted their reception which was fully done up with a huge “Love” sign and string lights on the balcony where they had their first dance. We thought we have been to every wedding venue in downtown Vancouver before but I guess the Parc Hotel has been hiding from our radar.
Intimate wedding ceremony at Vancouver Club
The Vancouver Club (https://vancouverclub.ca/) has such a classic, luxury style that the couple loved. They had an intimate, small ceremony officiated by a long-time friend. After some heartfelt moments, we walked around the Vancouver Club for some classic magazine-style portraits.
Quick stopover in Stanley Park
They wanted to bring their dogs out for some portraits so we chose a spot with a classic city skyline capturing some great photos with the pups.
Private city view at Parc hotel Vancouver
They got access to a private deck with awesome city views, fountain features, and unique views of BC place (stadium) to finish off their wedding portraits.
Cake cut and first dance at the Parc hotel
They still had some traditional events such as a cake cut and first dance, even with a wedding of 5 people. The room was beautifully put together by their decorator Debut Event Design Inc and wedding planner Smitten Events.
