Intimate Teahouse Wedding

Kally and Ryan have been together for over 10 years! For their wedding, they decided to go a little different. They wanted an intimate wedding during mid day at The Teahouse in Stanley Park. Their family and friends came from all over the world, so they wanted a venue that had mountain and ocean views. They celebrated their ceremony in the park right out front of the restaurant facing the viewpoint of the Burrard Inlet, and reception in the restaurant during lunch time. The Teahouse is a cute little venue that offers an intimate space for smaller weddings. They had their ceremony at Ferguson Point, right across the road, so there was no travel for their guests as half of them were from out of town.

Stanley Park Portrait Session

For their wedding, they didn’t have a wedding party, so the portrait session was dedicated all to them! We took photos before the ceremony around downtown and Coal Harbour, then in between the ceremony and reception, we took more photos around the Teahouse area, then after the reception, we took more photos around Stanley Park, then finishing off on the Lion’s Gate Bridge.

Red Wedding Dress

The red wedding dress was one When Kally was picking out her wedding dress, she said that she tried on a white wedding dress and it didn’t feel right. She always loved the colour red, so she went with her gut and found the perfect red dress. I loved that she went with what she wanted, and it really made the photos look amazing. It’s always fun to see someone put a personal twist on their wedding, with the non-traditional red wedding dress, the intimate wedding during lunch, and a huge focus on portraits. It was a great wedding, and we are so happy that we were apart of it.
