Indoor photoshoot locations around Vancouver are great because you don’t have to worry about the weather, outside temperature, and you have more control over the ambient lighting. Indoor spaces also usually offer much more privacy than public spaces.

All of these spaces require a rental fee usually ranging between $100 to $1000. Many of our clients find it is worth the investment because of the benefits of having more control over your photoshoot.

Vancouver Art Gallery (Downtown)

This former courthouse building offers a clean and unique backdrop for portrait photos.

The building offers a variety of locations for your photoshoot. It has a high roof, the rotunda, and beautiful twin marble staircases in the grand foyer. The Gallery’s rooftop pavilion is covered and has a perfect view of the city.

Orpheum Theatre (Downtown Vancouver)

The Orpheum Theatre is a historic building in the heart of downtown Vancouver that could be used as an amazing indoor photoshoot location. The luxurious details throughout the building make for some amazing backdrops for photos.

Britannia Shipyard (Richmond)

Britannia Shipyards is an incredible backdrop for wedding photography. It has a very unique look that’s very beautiful. The rustic wooden decor, the waterfront location, and its close proximity to Vancouver make it a perfect venue for couples who want something a little different.  The light coming in from the windows makes us especially excited to work at this location.

Marine Building (Coal Harbour, Vancouver)

The Marine Building, a downtown Vancouver building designed in the Art Deco style, is an excellent complement to luxury weddings.  The building is both stunning and historic, with a rich architectural history making it an amazing indoor photoshoot location around Vancouver.

The Permanent (Hastings)

The Permanent is a great place for an indoor photoshoot. The original bank vault door is still standing in the lobby. This building is a mix of neo-classical and baroque elements throughout, including the stained glass atrium, the bronze chandeliers, and the many tile mosaics.

Bloedel Conservatory (Queen Elizabeth Park)

Bloedel Conservatory offers a gorgeous backdrop for wedding photos. With lush greenery, trees, and tropical plants everywhere you look, this is the perfect location for your next indoor portrait shoot.

Photoshoots are allowed outside of regular operating hours before the Conservatory opens and after it closes.

Vancouver Clocktower (Granville)

A commercial building located at the intersection of Granville St. and Georgia St., the Vancouver Block is characterized by its ornamented clock tower at the top overlooking the city. You are able to go inside the clock for some extremely interesting backdrops.
