Water, mountains, lush gardens and a beautiful reception, this Harrison Hot Springs Resort wedding in a little mountain town is one to check out!
Fraser Valley Wedding
S+D are from Alberta and wanted to have a mountain wedding. So they decided to go west and scour the Fraser Valley to find a nice venue. They landed on Harrison Hot Springs Resort and Spa because they loved the mountains and mostly the big, mossy trees close to the venue. The bride got ready in the hotel suite in the morning with all of her girls, as the groom was in one of the cabin’s on the grounds with his very tall wedding party and one giant dog.Â
Outdoor Wedding Ceremony
They had an outdoor wedding ceremony in the garden at the resort. It was a beautiful outdoor wedding where the sun was shining and the weather was perfect. They had their first look down the wedding aisle, and their little baby, Sam (their great dane), was their ring bearer. They also wrote their own vows, which pretty much put their guests in tears. Â
West Coast Wedding Photos
We started with walking around the resort getting some photos in the forest trails. Then we took the couple off on their own and we went to one of our favourite locations close to the town to get some epic photos with the mountains and lake.Â
Harrison Hot Springs Hotel Wedding
The reception was in the resort in one of the ballrooms. The bride made almost all of the decor herself, making centerpieces and the take home presents. The couple wanted the room that had a balcony on it so they could set up a s’more station and cook it over an open flame. It was cool that you would have some people dancing, others just socializing at tables, and more outside enjoying a nice campfire, eating s’mores and breathing in that crisp, cool summer air.
It was a fun wedding, and we are so excited that S+D chose us to photograph their big day! If you are looking for a photographer for your wedding in the Fraser Valley, contact us today!
