Quality Photography Experience That Is Different.

This Esperlus wedding Vancouver was all about an urban waterfront celebration with the Vancouver skyline as the backdrop. Their celebration at Esperlus, a stunning downtown Vancouver wedding venue in False Creek across from Granville Island, made the most of the city views, the nearby seawall, and the Spinning Chandelier under the Granville Bridge. It is a beautiful option for couples who want a modern, city-forward wedding.

Esperlus is a unique venue perched right along the waterfront, offering incredible views of the ocean, city skyline, and North Shore mountains. We’ve photographed here before when it went by the Waterview Event Centre. The architecture feels modern yet warm, and the location couldn’t be more picture-perfect, especially if you love a clean, modern wedding photography aesthetic.

Planning a Wedding in Under Four Weeks

The bride pulled off what most people take months to plan, an entire wedding in less than four weeks. She contacted us about three weeks before the date, and we were available. Everything came together, and I give her all the kudos for putting an entire event together in a short period of time. It wasn’t easy, but it turned out beautiful.

Ceremony and Reception in One Space

The couple chose a unique layout where the ceremony and reception were all in the same setup. Guests sat at their reception tables and watched the wedding from their seats, which created a relaxed, intimate atmosphere. Right after the ceremony, everyone could immediately mingle, grab appetizers and drinks, and chat with friends and family at their tables, and the room was already perfectly set for the evening festivities.

Urban Waterfront Vibes in False Creek

For portraits, we stepped just outside the venue and photographed the couple under the Spinning Chandelier beneath the Granville Bridge, using the concrete, metal, and light to lean into the urban feel. It’s a cool spot for photos, and even though it’s right in a downtown setting. It is located on a street, but it’s just that far enough away from the main street that we can take advantage of the time between the cars driving through to get photos of the couple on the street. It really worked out and we are so happy with how beautiful the photos turned out.

Later in the evening, just before we packed up to leave, we stole them away for a few minutes for night photos along the seawall right outside the venue. With the skyline and city lights in the background, we created dramatic, modern images that perfectly matched the urban vibe of this Esperlus wedding Vancouver and showcased our night wedding photography.

Kind Words from the Couple

“I don’t think there are words to even express how I feel about the photos, they are truly amazing. I’ve honestly spent hours upon hours just staring and going through them, and then I went back to your site and spent many more hours reading all your blogs and looking at other weddings you’ve photographed.

Our friends and family are absolutely stunned by the photos and keep complimenting your work over and over. Everyone agrees your work is out of this world and unmatched by any other professionals. We are so excited!”

Heirloom Wedding Album

From the start, she knew she really wanted a wedding album to tell the story of the day in a tangible way. I predesigned an album layout before our Zoom meeting, so it gives our clients the full story, then we walked through each page together and refined the design.

During the design session, we swapped images, adjusted layouts, and included all of her favourite photos to create her perfect album. The final piece is a beautiful heirloom book they can revisit often and pass down for years to come.

It’s amazing how beautifully everything came together. A wedding planned in just a few weeks turned into a romantic, joy-filled evening in one of downtown Vancouver’s most unique waterfront venues.
