Planning a wedding in Vancouver from another province (or even another country) takes a serious level of trust. That’s why I’m always blown away by couples like Tiana and Stephen. They planned their stunning wedding at Rosewood Hotel Georgia from out of province and still managed to keep everything relaxed, fun, and absolutely beautiful.
As a Vancouver wedding photographer, I often work with couples traveling to BC for their destination wedding. Getting Ready at Rosewood Hotel Georgia
We started the day early Sunday morning at the elegant Rosewood Hotel Georgia, right in the heart of downtown. This hotel is one of the most iconic Vancouver wedding venues, with timeless charm and luxury that photographs beautifully.
Stephen got ready with his groomsmen in a stylish suite, while Tiana slipped into her traditional Chinese red dress surrounded by family and friends. I love when couples incorporate cultural traditions—it adds so much depth to the story. They kicked things off with traditional Chinese door games, where the groom and his crew had to “earn” their way through the bridesmaids’ hilarious challenges.
Afterward, we moved to the Tudor Room for an intimate tea ceremony with close family members.
First Look and City Portraits in Downtown Vancouver
After the tea ceremony, Tiana changed into her white wedding dress and met Stephen for a first look on the iconic staircase inside the hotel. It was such a sweet moment—just the two of them, sharing a quiet space in a grand setting.
We then explored the hotel and walked through Coal Harbour for portraits with the city skyline in the background. Vancouver offers such an amazing mix of urban and natural settings, which is why so many couples choose BC for their wedding.

Ceremony and Reception at Hotel Georgia
Their ceremony took place in the Promenade Room and was styled beautifully by Budget Blooms and Katsura Designs. Josephine from Vancouver Harp played a mix of classical and Disney songs, which set the tone for a lighthearted and emotional ceremony.
The Spanish Ballroom hosted their reception, where there were heartfelt speeches, fun games, and a super memorable kissing game—complete with a Spider-Man-style kiss! We ended the night with a romantic night photo outside the hotel—always one of my favorite ways to wrap up the story.
