Downtown Wedding at Rosewood Hotel Georgia

One of the best wedding venues in the heart of Vancouver, BC

Tiana and Stephen planned their downtown wedding at Rosewood Hotel Georgia fully from another province. We have a few clients per year that plan a wedding in Vancouver from other provinces across Canada, the US and even UK, and it amazes me every time. It is stress enough to plan a local wedding, but to do it from afar is a whole different beast. These two are amazing! They are funny, laid back with some goofiness, which made their wedding so much fun!

We arrived early on a Sunday morning to their Rosewood Hotel Georgia wedding to capture these two getting ready. Stephen was getting ready in his suit with his best friends by his side, while Tiana was getting ready in her traditional Chinese red dress with her close friends and family. They had a traditional Chinese Wedding with door games where the groom and groomsmen had to play various games prepared by the bridesmaids. Luckily for Stephen, the girls were pretty lenient on them. After the door games, we went down to the Tudor room in the hotel where they had a tea ceremony with close friends and family.

After the tea ceremony, Tiana changed into her white wedding dress and had a first look with her groom on the staircase within Hotel Georgia. We took them around the hotel for some portraits of them and their wedding party, then just walked around downtown to get a few city photos in Coal Harbour.

Their ceremony was in the Promenade of the hotel. The ceremony and reception was decorated by Budget Blooms and Katsura Designs. Josephine from Vancouver Harp was playing beautiful renditions of classic songs along with a few Disney songs, which set the tone for a beautiful ceremony. The vows had Stephen in tears, as well as Tiana and their family.

Their reception was in the Spanish Ballroom, and the whole night was full of great speeches, fun games, and finished off with an epic night photo outside of the hotel. They had a kissing game where guests had act out kisses for the bride and groom to replicate, and the spider man kiss was one of the most epic ways to do it. Tiana and Stephen, you guys are amazing, and we are so fortunate to be able to meet you two. Thank you so much for choosing us to be your photographers for your Hotel Georgia wedding!
