We had a hard time cutting down the images for this Britannia Shipyard and UBC Boathouse wedding post. We had a lot of fun working with Erin and Steve this year on their engagement session and wedding! Steve is an award winning underwater photographer who has travelled all over the world scuba diving and capturing some of the most gorgeous sea life you will ever see. You can check out his work HERE, and it's really amazing! So when they told us that they wanted to go with us for their wedding, we were super excited and honoured that they chose us! They both got ready at River Rock Casino Resort in Richmond. Erin's flawless look was created by Mink Makeup and Hair. Erin and Steve wanted to do an intimate first look, then do all of their portraits before their wedding ceremony, so they could enjoy the entire event with friends and family. For their engagement session, we took them to the ocean and forest, so they wanted to have more urban style photos for their wedding. Will always wanted to photograph at Britannia Shipyard, and since E+S were having their wedding in Richmond at UBC Boathouse, we pitched the idea to them, and they loved it! The shipyard was incredible, and I'm pretty sure Will could have stayed there all day photographing this couple. There was a ton of natural light, everywhere you looked was an interesting angle, and probably wins as one of our favourite spots of the year. Erin actually caught her first fish in the river with Steve just outside the of shipyard, so that place held a special memory for them, which is pretty cool! They also really liked the look of the Olympic Oval, so we jumped over there to get a few more photos with their wedding party. Their ceremony was on the dock outside of their venue, and it was right at sunset with a perfect clear view of the North Shore mountains. They had Rick Parks from Connekt, as their wedding officiant. It was an emotional ceremony where Erin and Steve wrote their own vows, which made them both tear up as they were saying them. They enjoyed their cocktail hour out on the dock as well, and then the reception was held indoors. The venue setup was a combined effort from Perfectly Flawless and Garden Party Flowers for the flower arrangements and gorgeous bouquets. Each centrepiece had two photos, one from each of their childhood. DJ Tall Music kept the guests on the dance floor the entire night, and Erin and her mom were dancing up a storm! They ended off the night with Steve and his groomsmen and dad smoking some cigars outside, which made for some awesome photos. Thank you Erin and Steve for choosing us to photograph your special day!  - Lauren
