We photographed a bridal session (just the bride and groom wedding portraits) with Ashley and Nick at the Cleveland Dam in North Vancouver BC. They are both from different parts of the USA, but decided to say their vows in Canada. They naturally chose beautiful British Columba to tie the knot and get some amazing wedding photos. It was just the two of them that came out to Canada. Can’t get more intimate than that! They chose to be photographed at the Cleveland Dam (near the Capilano Suspension Bridge) because it was one of the places they had visited on the last Canada trip and it had stuck in their minds. We started with the standard mountain photos in the field (how can you not) and then we moved around to different locations around the Cleveland Dam. We even climbed a tree for some photos! I went in the tree first, then it was Nick and Ashley’s turn! You have to give it up to Ashley for climbing around in a mossy tree with her wedding dress on! We moved on and found a nice little hidden path going into the forest where we got the perfect sunset light coming through the trees. Nick and Ashley even brought some props that had some sentimental value to them. We incorporated the cross and the guitar into some images. They also had their Cowboy boots on! There is something awesome about a bride with cowboy boots Nick looked pretty cool too. So all in all we had a short and sweet, FUN photoshoot. I always suggest to choose a location for engagement photos that has some sort of sentimental value to the couple. Rebeka and Eddie had their first date at Crescent Beach in Whiterock (where the big white rock is), so it was a perfect location for their engagement session.

Rebeka and Eddie are super fun, romantic, playful and creative people. They came up with some great ideas and brought some props along for the session. The scrabble pieces spelling “Love” are a big hit and how can you not like the bubble gum!

This wedding was a elegant summer wedding held at some breathtaking spots around Vancouver. The ceremony was at St George’s Greek Orthodox Cathedral, Vancouver. This church has unreal murals covering the entire building (and its a huge building!). After a beautiful ceremony we headed up to Grouse mountain for the reception. Grouse boasts some of the best views in all of Vancouver and this hall was no exception. Even though I spend a lot of time in the mountains in the winter, it is easy to forget how amazing it really is up there. Shot in conjunction with Match Studio.
